Catfish Onion Curry is a very delicious and easy to make. The main seasoning is the garam masala but it need the turmeric too. (And salt of course.)
My kids like it so much and they want to eat it once of every week.
I use fresh catfish fillet.
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
- 3 onion (sliced)
- 1 tablespoon sunflower (or canola) oil
- 2 teaspoons garam masala powder
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon tomato passata
- 200 ml double cream
- 2-3 catfish fillets
- salt
Instructions
- In a small pan heat the oil and add the sliced onion. Cook it on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until it is golden.
- Add the salt, garam masala powder and 1 cup cold water. Cook it for 20-25 minutes.
- Cut the catfish fillets into bite-sized pieces.
- Add turmeric powder, tomato passata and double crem, and blend the soup with an immersion blender.
- Add the pieces of catfish in the sauce and cook it for 15 minutes until the fish become cooked.
Notes
Serve the Catfish Onion Curry with cooked rice and you can sprinkle with green onion and chili flakes.
